PR Related
As of this year, 2009, I have spent six years of my life on Project Rockstar. To most people PR is a browser game "where players assume the role of a manager, taking control of musicians and trying to get them to the top of the charts". But to me and many others, it's a place we come to viritually hang out with each other, find new friends, talk to old ones and generally have a good time in a forum unlike any other.
A result of the general awesomeness of the PR forums is that I've managed to create quite a bit of PR related material over the years. Quite a few in-game buttons and icons aside, I've been a prolific viritual album-cover creator, stylesheet maker and item spawner. You can view a few samples below. For more, browse here.
Artsy Stuff
When I am not working, watching TV (I watch a lot of tv) or spending my time on the interweb - I love to create. I've tried a whole load of different arts and crafts, including painting, drawing, decoupage, scrapbooking, writing, singing, knitting, webdesign, sewing... Basically anything you can think of. If I don't have a creative outlet - I go a bit nutty.
My favourite outlet at the moment is knitting. It provides occupation of the mind without draining your mental capacity. One might call it a "zombie-hobby", because part of the point is that you don't have to think too hard about what you're doing while you're doing it. It also provides a great source for a sense of completion. There's nothing quite like casting off a finished knitted item. I blog about knitting and other artsy stuff here.
My second favourite creative outlet is what I call "toonifications". I take a picture, and make what is called a "vexel drawing" based on it. So far I've made a few of family and friends, and a few of celebrities. But I take commissions. You can find more information about that here.
TV
It's about time I dedicated a part of my own site to the medium that takes up so much of my time - television. I know a lot of people call it a waste of time and a killer of braincells, and who am I to argue really? All I can say is that I enjoy watching TV a lot, and so far I haven't stopped finding new favourites almost every year.
